David J. Hanrahan, Sr.

President & Chief Executive Officer

Dave Hanrahan is the founding President and CEO of Capital Bank of New Jersey. Prior to 2006 he spent 16 years at The Bank of Gloucester County, now part of Fulton Bank of New Jersey.
Hanrahan holds a B.S. in Accounting from Rutgers University – Camden School of Business. He is also a graduate of the American Bankers Association’s (ABA’s) Stonier Graduate School of Banking.

In 2010 he was recognized by the New Jersey Bankers Association as a New Leader in Banking. In 2013 he received a Professionally Accomplished Alumni Award from Rutgers – Camden, and in that year he was also named an Executive of the Year by South Jersey Biz magazine.

Hanrahan is a member of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia Community Depository Institutions Advisory Council. He is a director of the ABA Foundation, is a past Chairman of the ABA Community and Economic Development Committee, and is a past member of the ABA Community Bankers Council. He serves on the Board of Directors of Atlantic Community Bankers Bank. He also serves as a member of the Rutgers University - Camden School of Business Dean’s Leadership Council. From 2008 to 2015 he was a Director and past Board President of Cumberland County Habitat for Humanity. He is also a member of the Vineland Rotary Club and of Tenth Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Thomas Lobosco

Executive Vice-President & Chief Financial Officer

Tom, a Certified Public Accountant, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Rutgers University and has more than 40 years’ experience in commercial banking, operations, auditing, finance, and asset liability management. During Capital Bank’s planning and development prior to opening, he served as a consultant to the organizers. Before that, he was Executive Vice-President, CFO/COO, and Secretary of Liberty Bell Bank, which he joined in July 2005, after having served seven years as CFO/COO of the Pennsylvania Business Bank, in Philadelphia. From 1989-1998, he was Senior Vice-President, Treasurer, and CFO of The Bank of Gloucester County, in Woodbury, NJ. Tom has lived in South Jersey for many years and is a current Gloucester County resident.

Joseph Rehm

Executive Vice President & Chief Lending Officer

Joe was one of Capital Bank’s original employees and presently serves as the bank’s Executive Vice President and Chief Lending Officer. He is a graduate of the ABA Commercial Lending School and the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking at the University of Pennsylvania earning his Wharton Leadership Certificate while at Stonier. He started his banking career almost 20-years ago with Woodstown National Bank. During this time he has held various positions including Teller, Credit Analyst, Loan Officer, Assistant Vice President, CRA Officer, Vice President, Senior Vice President and now Executive Vice President / Chief Lending Officer.

He presently serves as a member of the Economic Growth Council for the Vineland Chamber of Commerce and serves on its Image Committee. Joe has also served in a number of volunteer activities including being former Vice Chair for Gloucester County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, President of the Board of Directors for the Gloucester County YMCA, and as a member of the Advisory Board for the Academy of Finance at the Gloucester County Institute of Technology. He is a lifelong Gloucester County resident.

Elaine Melfe Elaine Melfe
Senior Vice President of Retail Services

Elaine joined Capital Bank of New Jersey in 2007 as vice-president of operations and BSA officer. She also heads Capital’s human resources and IT departments. During a professional career that began in 1972 with National Bank & Trust Company of Gloucester County, she has held a number of executive positions, including teller manager and assistant manager at First Fidelity, assistant manager and mortgage originator at First Union, manager and conversion specialist at “The Bank” of Gloucester County, and senior vice-president of operations and BSA officer at Pennsylvania Business Bank. She is credited with the creation of policy and procedures manuals for two financial institutions. Elaine is a lifelong Gloucester County resident.

Bill Whelan

Senior Vice President / Branch and Government Banking

Bill joined Capital Bank of New Jersey in April 2015. Previously, Bill was the EVP/COO at Colonial Bank and was the Executive Director for St. Joseph’s Carpenter Society in Camden for 4 years after working in various management positions at Summit Bank for 20 years. Whelan holds a B.S. in Management Science from Kean University and is a graduate of the ABA National Compliance School at the University of Oklahoma and the CBA Graduate School of Bank Management at the University of Virginia.

He is the First Vice-Chair of the Greater Bridgeton Chamber of Commerce; on the Boards of the Bridgeton Rotary and The M-25 Initiative and is Chair of the Pastoral Council at the Parish of the Holy Cross in Bridgeton. He is also Chair of the Cumberland County Homelessness Trust Fund Task Force. Bill was Director of the Board of Chosen Freeholders in Cumberland County, and was President of the Cumberland Regional Board of Education. He also served on the Board of the NJ Redevelopment Authority and many other organizations. Bill has resided in Cumberland County for over 30 years.

Bradley Cusick

Bradley L. Cusick
Vice President/Camden-Burlington County Market Manager

A West Virginia University alumnus, Cusick is also a graduate of Southern Methodist University Cox Business School, the ABA National Commercial Lending School and Cherokee High School in Marlton, New Jersey. He is also a life-long member of Tavistock Country Club. Brad is a lifelong South Jersey resident.

Cosmo Giovinazzi, IV Cosmo Giovinazzi, IV
Vice President & Cumberland County Market Manager

Cosmo received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a minor in Philosophy from Villanova University in 1995. His many work and volunteer community activities include current board member and past President of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cumberland and Salem Counties, current board member of the Cumberland Cape Atlantic YMCA, board member of the Vineland Development Corporation and the Cumberland County Economic Development Board, Treasurer of the Italian American Benevolent Association, and past President of the Vineland Police Athletic League. A lifelong Vineland resident, Cosmo enjoys running, skiing, the beach, and yard work.

Ginger Heckmann

Vice President of Deposit Operation

With over 30 years in the banking industry, Ginger joined Capital Bank of NJ in May 2010. Ginger started as a teller at Guarantee Bank in Northfield, NJ in the 80’s and through mergers/acquisitions, worked her way to management for NatWest Bank. Ginger worked for Summit Bank in Hammonton, NJ as a customer service representative before staying home to raise her children. In 1999 she started with a de novo bank, Boardwalk Bank, in Linwood NJ, where she helped develop policies and procedures, and started and managed the Operations Department. Prior to starting her career at Capital Bank of NJ, Ginger worked for a bank processor, Open Solutions, located in Cherry Hill, NJ for 2 years, which gives her a different perspective of the bank processing.

In her spare time she loves to read, travel, and spend time with family and friends. Ginger is also member of a women’s group, Love it Forward, which helps people in need in local communities.

Beth Paglione

Vice President/Commercial Loan Officer, Woodbury Heights

A 1993 graduate of Millersville University with a BS in Business Administration, Beth joined Capital Bank in January 2011. Prior to joining Capital Bank, Beth spent the prior 18 years employed at The Bank, part of Fulton Financial Corp., most recently working as a Commercial Lender out of Woodbury. She currently serves as a Board Member of the Gloucester County Boys and Girls Clubs. Beth is a lifelong resident of Gloucester County.

Brian Timberman

Vice President, Gloucester and Salem County Market Manager

Brian received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration/Finance from Widener University in 1985 and has completed Commercial Lending School, University of Oklahoma, National Compliance School, University of Oklahoma, Bank Operations School, Rutgers University and numerous other banking courses. Prior to joining Capital Bank in April 2014 Brian was employed by Fulton Bank of NJ as Sr. V.P. Manager of the Woodstown Loan Production Office. Prior to Fulton Bank, Brian also worked as a Sr. V.P. Commercial Loan Officer for Susquehanna Bank having an office in Mullica Hill, NJ.

Active in the community, Brian serves as Vice Chairman of the Memorial Hospital of Salem County, Chairman of Salem County Vocational School Foundation Board of Trustees and serves as a Board member for P.R.A.C. of Southern New Jersey. Brian has been a resident of Salem County for approximately 30 years


Sheryl Zappala Sheryl Zappala
Vice President – Loan Operations

A 1978 graduate of Gloucester County College with an Associate of Arts degree in accounting, Sheryl was employed by National Bank & Trust Company of Gloucester County from 1978-1987 as credit analyst; by Woodstown National Bank & Trust Company from 1988-2001 in the credit and loan accounting departments; and by “The Bank” of Gloucester County – first, in the loan accounting department, from 2001-03, and then as assistant credit department manager, from 2003 until 2007. She joined Capital Bank in 2007. A lifelong Gloucester County resident, Sheryl enjoys running and cycling.

Denise Zemanik Denise Zemanik
Vice President & Branch Manager, Vineland Main Office

Denise has many years of experience in banking beginning with Minotola National. At Minotola, she served the Vineland as teller, branch manager, operations, loan officer, and assistant vice-president during her twenty-seven-year tenure from February 1979 to April 2006. She was next employed by Susquehanna Bank until February 2007, when she joined Capital Bank of New Jersey’s business development department. Some of her professional contributions at Capital include the authoring of procedural manuals concerning bank operations. Denise also serves as the Bank’s Security Officer.

She attended Cumberland County College, completed Leadership Cumberland County, and has various AIB banking courses to her credit. Denise has lived in the Vineland area for her entire life.

Nia Coombs

Commercial Loan Officer / SBA Lender

Nia graduated from The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Prior to joining Capital Bank in 2007, and while at college, she worked in real estate for 4 years.

Her career at Capital Bank progressed from an Executive Administrative Assistant, to a Credit Analyst, and then to a Commercial Loan Officer/SBA lender. A 2014 graduate of the ABA National Commercial Lending School, Nia also manages Capital Bank’s First Time Home Buyer program. She resides in Cape May County.

Tammy Cramer

Assistant Vice President, Branch Manager, West Landis Avenue Branch, Vineland

Tammy joined the Capital Bank of New Jersey team in November of 2010 and has over 25 years of banking experience. After beginning her career as a teller with United Jersey Bank in 1987, she progressed from teller to head teller and then to branch management with Summit Bank where she continued in management roles in the branches for several years with its successors. She was also employed at Minotola Bank where she was the Training Coordinator until the merger with Susquehanna Bank at which time she returned to the branches in a management role.

Tammy’s experience includes service to local consumers and businesses as well as larger corporate clients. With a passion for people and the delivery of personal, quality service, she enjoys working with the customers of her branch daily.

Most of Tammy’s successful and diverse career has been spent in Cumberland County.

Donna Giovinazzi

Assistant Vice President, Branch Manager, Woodbury Heights

Donna joined the Capital Bank of New Jersey team in 2016 with over 25 years of experience in various NJ banking institutions as a Head Teller, Assistant Manager and Branch Manager while working at Commerce Bank and Fulton Bank of NJ. In addition, Donna has extensive experience in managing training activities for large organizations. Always active in the community, she has served as a board member for local Chambers of Commerce and Rotary Clubs.

An experienced and successful community banker, Donna earned a management degree in 1988 at Gloucester County College. She also has numerous sales and leadership certifications to her credit. Donna is a lifelong resident of Gloucester County.


Lisa Varesio

Assistant Vice President, Branch Manager, Hammonton

Lisa joined CBNJ in 2010 with over 35 years banking experience in various Hammonton NJ banking institutions starting as a loan clerk (First Fidelity Bank), Teller, Head Teller, Assistant Manager (Empire Savings Bank), Branch Manager (Minotola National Bank and Sun National Bank). She is active in her community as Treasurer for the Greater Hammonton Chamber of Commerce and Kiwanis club of Hammonton.

Lisa has lived and worked in the Hammonton area for all of her life. In her spare time she enjoys running, cycling, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.

Jamie Doroshuk

Assistant Controller

Jamie graduated from Rowan University in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Following her graduation she came to work at Capital Bank as a part-time teller while she pursued her MBA at Rowan University. Jamie then graduated in the summer of 2009 with her MBA and left Capital Bank for a full- time position at a private CPA firm. In May of 2011 Jamie returned to Capital Bank as our Senior Staff Accountant and now holds the position of Assistant Controller.


Margie Golway

Deposit Operations Officer

Margie started with Capital Bank of New Jersey in 2007 and has more than 40 years banking experience. Margie started her banking career in 1972 as a Teller/Head Teller with First Peoples Bank of NJ in Hammonton and Vineland. Later, she became the Manager of Deposit Operations for MInotola National Bank for 16 years. Margie came to Capital Bank of New Jersey as a clerk and was then promoted to Manager. She now serves as Deposit Operations Officer. Margie has been instrumental in the formation and development of the Bank’ Deposit Operations Department and has written many procedures for both the branches and back office. She is a lifelong South Jersey resident.

Robert Jack

Bank Secrecy Act Officer

Rob graduated from college in 2009, majoring in accounting and minoring in economics. He worked for TD Bank as a Credit Analyst and a BSA Specialist before coming to Capital Bank in 2011. In 2014, he became a Certified Anti-Money Specialist before his promotion to BSA Officer in early 2015. Rob is a lifelong resident of Southern New Jersey.


Stephen Modzelewski

Credit Department Officer

While studying at Stockton University, Steve began his banking career at Capital Bank of New Jersey in 2011 as a credit department intern. Upon graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in finance, he became a full-time credit analyst with the bank. Having had great success in his prior roles, Steve earned a promotion to Credit Department Officer where he is a great asset to the performance of our loan portfolio. Steve is a resident of Cumberland County.


Tammy Oliva

Information Technology Officer

Tammy is the Information Technology Officer at Capital Bank of New Jersey. Previous positions include Security and Compliance at a Gaming Institution, and various positions at a local banking institution including Information Technology Operations Manager. She holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, from Drexel University, with a dual major in Management Information Systems and Accounting, as well as a Bachelor of Science Degree from Drexel University, with a major in Finance.

Tammy is an active member at her Church, holding positions of Council Member, and Board Member for their Foundation Committee. Formerly, she was a past president and member in the local Rotary Breakfast Club, Board Member of the local YMCA, and chaired a committee for the American Cancer Society.
